Ambassador Manoj met Ion Lupan to discuss expanding India-Moldova economic collaboration in the six SPEED sectors.

Ambassador Manoj Kumar Mohapatra met Mr. Ion Lupan, Head of the Secretariat of the Economic Council to the Prime Minister of Moldova, to discuss economic cooperation, investment opportunities, and potential sectors for collaboration. Ambassador Mohapatra emphasized India's six SPEED verticals, Supply Chains, Pharma, Energy, Education, Digital, and Defence, as key areas of focus for partnership.

Ion Lupan leads the Secretariat supporting Moldova's Economic Council, a platform for public-private economic policy dialogue. His role involves facilitating strategic economic discussions and policy development to improve Moldova's business climate.

The meeting reflects ongoing efforts to deepen India-Moldova ties through targeted economic engagement. The discussion centered on leveraging identified sectors under SPEED where both countries can boost cooperation without presumption beyond officially shared points.

This diplomatic dialogue aligns with India’s broader regional strategy to strengthen economic relations with Eastern European countries, focusing on sectors that promote sustainable investment and mutual growth.
