India Showcases Technical Textile Strength at Techtextil/Texprocess Fair Pavilion in Frankfurt

The Pavilion at the Techtextil/Texprocess Fair was formally inaugurated on 21 April 2026, marking a notable development for India’s technical textiles sector at a prominent international platform. Held in Frankfurt, the opening brought together senior representatives from government and industry, reflecting continued efforts to strengthen India’s engagement with global textile markets.

High-Level Representation at Inauguration
The inauguration ceremony was attended by Hon’ble Mr. T. G. Bharath, Minister for Industries, Commerce & Food Processing, Government of Andhra Pradesh; Ms. Vrunda Manohar Desai, Textiles Commissioner, Ministry of Textiles, Government of India; Ms. Richa Gupta, Director, Government of India; Ms. Lalitha, Textile Commissioner, Government of Tamil Nadu; Ms. Shuchita Kishore, Consul General; and Mr. Shaleen Toshniwal Mr. Shaleen Toshniwal, Chairman of The Manmade and Technical Textiles Export Promotion Council. The presence of these dignitaries underscored coordinated participation across different levels of government and industry bodies. The delegation also interacted with participating companies, indicating a focus on direct engagement with stakeholders.
Strong Industry Participation
The Pavilion, organised by MATEXIL, has drawn participation from a total of 65 companies, including 40 exhibiting under its aegis. This level of participation reflects the breadth of India’s manmade and technical textiles sector. The exhibitors represent a range of capabilities, offering products and solutions aligned with evolving global demand. The structured presence at the Pavilion enables companies to collectively present their strengths within a unified national framework.
Platform for Global Engagement
The fair provides an opportunity for participating companies to showcase their capabilities to an international audience. It also facilitates exploration of joint venture opportunities and supports efforts to enhance business linkages, particularly with stakeholders in the European market.
